Das Beat‘s debut EP, Identität, is out June 4 on Arbutus Records.
A pure product of the lockdown, Das Beat have just shared the title track taken from their upcoming debut EP. On “Identität,” the new duo, made up of German actress and vocalist Eddie Rabenberger and Agor of Blue Hawaii, channel the golden age of Giorgio Moroder – the synths are reminiscent of Donna Summer‘s anthem “I Feel Love – as well as the rawness of German post-punk. Arnaud, a passionate music enthusiast from France, now based in Madrid, founded HighClouds in 2015. With an ear for the dreamy, the ethereal, and the unconventional, he thrives on discovering and sharing boundary-pushing sounds.
