Discovery Zone shares breezy and glimmering track “Dance II”

“Dance II” is taken from Discovery Zone‘s debut album, Remote Control, out June 5 on Mansions and Millions.

Following on from “Blissful Morning Dream Interpretation Melody,” a synth-ambient meditation on our modern world, JJ Weihl aka Discovery Zone unveils a new single from her upcoming debut album, which offers a constant dialogue in between organic and virtual worlds.

On “Dance II,” the NYC-born, Berlin-based artist opts for dreamy and breezy arrangements, combining retro textures with chimes and post-internet aesthetic. Described as a “system-notification synth-funk,” this glimmering and ethereal track might be one of her best offerings so far.

“‘Dance II’ deals with inner conflict, paradoxes, and the endless digital archiving of reality,” she explained. “Some funny thing I’m trying to find and capture in myself and in the world and save but can’t quite. The thing I’m chasing. A feeling. A song. Myself. Whatever it is. It’s a Dance, too!”
