Disiniblud, the collaborative project of Rachika Nayar and Nina Keith, recently released their self-titled debut album, a project that feels both daring and deeply personal. The record, shared via Smugglers Way/Domino in July, weaves together post-rock swells, glitchy electronica, neoclassical flourishes, and even moments of pop clarity. At its heart is what the duo describe as a “wordless conversation,” a dialogue between their distinct musical voices that explores themes of transformation, reinvention, and childlike wonder.

Now, just ahead of an ambitious tour across North America and Europe this fall, Disiniblud have unveiled a fresh take on one of the album’s standout tracks, “Blue Rags, Raging Wind” (featuring Amigone). The remix comes courtesy of Deafheaven guitarist Kerry McCoy, who reimagines the piece with pulsing drum and bass rhythms, cinematic synth layers, flickering tremolo textures, and his unmistakable guitar presence. Where the original leaned into neoclassical grace, McCoy’s version surges forward with an almost cinematic energy, making it both a tribute to and a transformation of the song’s theme of childlike joy.
