“Lucky Penny” is the first single off of Fleur Electra‘s debut album In Technicolor, coming in 2022.
Toronto new talent Fleur Electra introduces herself with “Lucky Penny,” a heavenly track with sky high vocals and scintillating synths. There’s a true DIY simplicity and authenticity about this track and video – courtesy of directors Desiree Armstrong and Anna Klein – but the main asset of this bop is clearly its fairy and 80s-inspired atmosphere, one that sounds both bubblegum pop and hazy. A bit like if Carly Rae Jepsen was singing a song for Twin Peaks. Watch/buy below and stream “Lucky Penny” via our Best Tracks of 2021 playlist.
