Copenhagen-based Danish-Kosovan artist GIMI keeps on building momentum with his sleek blend of R&B, pop, and electronic textures. Known for his tender vocals and unflinching honesty, he’s fresh from a packed performance at SPOT Festival, where he gave fans a glimpse of his debut album coming November 7. His music has also made it to the big screen, with two songs featured in Sauna, the groundbreaking queer romantic drama that premiered at Sundance.
His newest single, “Communicate it”, shines a light on a more introspective side of his artistry. Layered with 90s UK garage and R&B influences, the track explores the delicate balance between desire and self-worth. As GIMI explains, “I wrote this song about this deep rooted need I have for validation.
