“Hollow The Words” is taken from Indianna Hale‘s Yesterday’s Glitter, out September 1 via Perpetual Doom.
San Francisco’s singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Indianna Hale is about to release her new album in a few days, where cosmic Americana meets irresistible melodies. Following up the lead single “I Can’t Talk To You,” in which she called out a self-centered lover, she has now unveiled the lighthearted-on-surface but bitter-at-heart gem “Hollow The Words.” “It was tragically beautiful being with you,” Hale sings. She describes the song, inspired by the transience of San Francisco, as “a love song to my friend and family.”
“Hollow The Words” also comes with a trippy video directed by Sean Olmstead, recorded with analog video direct to VHS, with analog effects processing and old school video mixers.
