Jouska‘s new track, “Born in Cash,” is out now.

Hailing from Olso, Jouska is the bedroom R&B duo comprising Marit Othilie Thorvik and Hans Olav Settem. Recalling the ethereal vocals of Grimes as well as SASSY 009‘s electronic grit, their club-ready new track, “Born in Cash,” addresses the trap of resentful relationships. “It’s about toxic relationships and loving someone that constantly takes advantage of you and controls your every move,” they explained. “Torn between staying and leaving, you try to justify their behaviour, while at the same time wanting to confront them with all the resentment you keep buried deep inside.” Watch the accompanying video, courtesy of Ruth Emilie Rustad Martinsen, below.
