After a series of title changes and delays, Lana Del Rey has confirmed in a W Magazine interview that her new album, now titled Stove, will finally arrive at the end of January 2026. Initially planned for last spring, the project grew into her longest record yet when she decided to add six extra tracks, bringing the total to 19.
Much of Stove was shaped in Nashville, where Del Rey relocated part-time in 2023 to work with celebrated country songwriter-producer Luke Laird, alongside her trusted collaborator Jack Antonoff. The result leans heavily into country, a direction she has wanted to take for nearly a decade. “The majority of the album will have a country flair,” she told W Magazine. “Eight years ago, when I was looking to make a country record, no one else was thinking about country. Now everyone is going country!”
The songs proved more personal than expected, stretching the process: “They were more autobiographical than I thought, and that took more time.” Among them is “Stars Fell on Alabama,” a ballad dedicated to her husband Jeremy Dufrene, which she has already used to open recent live shows. Fans also caught previews of the record at Stagecoach, where she debuted “Husband of Mine” alongside the singles “Henry, Come On” and “Bluebird.”
