The artist, who is only 20-year-old and from Bournemouth, met her now manager via Youtube. Indeed, like a lot of young talents, she was posting some covers there. Nevertheless, her sound has evolved a lot since then. From folk music to electronic and experimental sounds, this guy totally won his gamble by bringing the artist out of her comfort zone! As written in her biography, Volcano Choir, Kate Bush, and Sigur Ros became pivotal in her songwriting. Before using a more sophisticated production, Mhairi was already experimenting with her voice.
