miaw’s ethereal new song “moving in” will make you drift away

miaw's new single "moving in" is out via purr records.

We’ve been following miaw ever since their glimmering debut single “ATT” dropped almost two years ago, and it’s been exciting to watch them steadily shape their own little corner. The Copenhagen-based cross-pop duo brings together Liza Dries (NL) and Frederik Fog (DK), both students or graduates from the respected RMC music school. What started as a project between Cologne and Berlin has grown into a confident, forward-thinking act, with live shows across Europe in 2025 and a growing buzz around their deconstructed, genre-blurring sound that floats between pop sensitivity and experimental textures. And while you’re at it, it’s definitely worth diving into Liza Dries’ solo material too.

miaw‘s new single “moving in” leans fully into that emotional, hazy space they do so well. As they describe it, “moving in” is a melancholic dreamsong, challenging the original song-format blending together sampled vocals, shoegaze guitars and unorthodox UK Bass references. It feels immersive and ethereal, but it also has a hypnotic quality to it. Listen below.
