South London sibling duo PUNCHBAG (Clara and Anders Bach) burst onto the scene with their debut track, “Fuck It,” out now on Mute Records. Blending pop hooks with a raw, punk-inspired edge, they craft a sound that’s catchy, uplifting, and chaotic—as perfectly showcased in their first release.
From the start, “Fuck It” lays out PUNCHBAG’s anything-goes approach, shifting between synth-driven melodies and heavier, guitar-fueled sections. The track’s pulsing mood definitely carries a hint of Underworld‘s “Born Slippy”. Clara’s vocals oscillate between smooth, melodic lines and fiery outbursts, while Anders‘ production delivers plenty of unpredictable moments. Lyrically, “Fuck It” explores anxiety and the fleeting nature of life, with a big chorus that evokes angst and frustration. Some might say it smells like teen spirit, but that raw energy is exactly what makes PUNCHBAG’s debut feel so alive.
