Rachika Nayar announces new LP, shares “Heaven Come Crashing” with maria bc

Rachika Nayar‘s Heaven Come Crashing is out August 26 on NNA Tapes.

Following her ambient debut album Our Hands Against the Dusk, where the experimentation with guitar was at the center, Rachika Nayar widens her horizons on Heaven Come Crashing. The project is described as the intersection between “5am warehouse raves” and nocturnal romanticism. But as hinted by the artwork (which she designed in collaboration with Yulissa Benitez), there is also a sense of theatricality to be expected. This dramatic reach is very prescient in the atmospheric yet epic title track, out now. Featuring vocals from maria bc, another ambient-adjacent guitarist on the rise, “Heaven Come Crashing” could be the song that plays at the emotional apex of an apocalyptic movie.
