Rockie Rode is one of those artists we still feel people are not talking about nearly enough. Behind the project is New York native Cate Osborne, a singer, songwriter and producer who is also part of the AM Radio Collective, alongside artists including Samba Jean Baptiste and Izzy Goldbow. She has also collaborated with Zack Villere, and earlier this year introduced Rockie Rode properly with her debut album Rockie, a record that immediately stood out to us for its mix of woozy guitars, country touches and slightly faded pop drama.
There is a strong sense of character running through Rockie, with Osborne moving through romance, fame, heartbreak and the slightly tragic glamour of its title persona. One of its highlights is “I’m So Wasted”, also one of our favourite songs of 2026, a dizzy heartbreak song full of drunken confessions and romantic desperation. The track now gets a new video directed by Joe Endo, which feels like a pretty good excuse to put it back on repeat.
