Raised in Detroit and now based in Los Angeles, Sara Marie Barron has developed a songwriting that carries a deep sense of place, shaped by Midwest grit and a love for honest storytelling, Her music sounds intimate, soulful, and quietly expansive, and her upcoming EP, Heaven’s Right Here, marks a refined new era in her sound. Across the project, Barron looks at love, faith, success, and the expectations that can distort them, searching for clarity through vulnerability and real connection.
Her latest release, “Killer”, is already the fourth piece to be unveiled from Heaven’s Right Here, and it arrives with a video shot and edited by alex free. Built around a hypnotic synth loop and Barron’s weightless vocals, the track feels like a soft but unsettling drift through modern burnout, the numb routine of the nine to five, and the cold glow of “blue light”. More than a simple portrait of exhaustion, “Killer” reflects on how the spaces we move through can slowly reshape us, asking what happens when a system meant to sustain us starts to strip away our humanity.
