Sonoda‘s new track, “Point Of View,” is out today on Terrible Records.
A meditative pop quartet fronted by Lisa Sonoda, Sonoda elaborate dream pop with therapeutic virtues. However, with their new offering, the band adopt a more dramatic sound to depict the link between destruction and creation. Quoting the myth of the burning Phoenix or Hindu Gods Shiva and Kali of death within the inspirations of the song, they remind us here that chaos always comes with a new beginning. The track was written in early 2020 but its message sounds more timely than ever. Cleverly melding thunderous arrangements with comforting vocals, they invite us to find beauty and hope in the most difficult hardships of life,; a soothing mantra for our troubled time.
