Fresh off a European tour (where he supported Liane La Havas) and a recent publishing deal with Method, Bruno Major continues his 12-month long release project by offering a fifth track: “Home.”

The London-based artist co-wrote the track with Daniel McDougal. Once again, Bruno Major delivers a smart, poetic, and modern piece of folk-pop music and strengthens, a bit more with each release, his status of “artist to keep a firm eye on.”

The artist will also pursue his 3-date residency at London’s Broadway Market’s Kansas Smitty’s. After a first sold-out gig, the second show, ‘Wolf Moon’, will be taking place on January 26 (the last one is set for February 23).

Bruno Major‘s “Home” follows up the previously released singles “Wouldn’t Mean A Thing“, “There’s Little Left“, “The First Thing You See”, and “Easily,” that you can stream below.

There is nothing minor about Bruno Major. With his latest release “There’s Little Left“, the artist is cementing himself as the major Bruno.

With just two tracks to his Soundcloud name, the artist is already making ripples within the music pool. Major’s heartwarmingly jazzy melodies are making heads turn and people swoon.

Major actually comes from a musical family with his brother being Dot Major from London Grammar. This young talent shares a camden home-studio with his brother and has subsequently produced wonderful tracks from this den of creativity. He has also stacked up some songwriting credits for rising London stars Liv Dawson and SG Lewis.

Bruno Major’s latest personal release, “There’s Little Left” (out now via Method Publishing) is a deeply sultry and emotive track. It is minimalist but so powerful, sparse but full of emotion. “There’s Little Left” is filled with his jazz influence and it saunters along without a care. His songwriting reminds of James Blake and Jamie Woon. It gazes at the early sun, whilst meandering along a dusty road. There is little left to say or do but listen and admire this song.

After having produced and written for other artists, North London artist Bruno Major is making a smooth and elegant debut,

After having produced and written for other artists, North London artist Bruno Major is making a smooth and elegant debut, under his own name, with the single “Wouldn’t Mean A Thing.”

In the love song, Bruno Major sings that whatever you experience, accomplish, or live, it only matters if you have someone else to share it with:
[su_quote]You bring out the best in me
Help me see the world differently
Be a better man than I’d ever be on my own
I’ll give you the rest of me
You’re the reason I rest easily
It’s the love and loyalty you’ve shown[/su_quote]

The track is quite simple as it is based on electronic and choral loops (that remind of James Blake‘s work by the way) and on a discrete acoustic guitar.

Even if this released is labeled as a debit, we can’t really consider Bruno Major as a newcomer in the music scene. Indeed, he is the brother of Dot Major from London Grammar. They even share a home-studio in Camden. Besides that, Major can also claim songwriting credits on Sg Lewis’ “Your”s and production and writing credits on Liv Dawson’s latest two singles “Still” and “Tapestry”.

Bruno Major‘s “Wouldn’t Mean A Thing” is the first single taken off his upcoming full album, due to be released later this year.
