Caroline Polachek has finally detailed the release of her debut solo album Pang. The record, which will be out in a month, will feature the previously released singles “Door“, “Ocean of Tears” and “Parachute“. Coming with this announcement, the former member of Chairlift has also unveiled a new song, “So Hot You’re Hurting My Feelings”, which is unarguably the poppiest, most straightforward track we’ve heard from the album so far. As you might know it, Caroline Polachek, formerly of Chairlift, recently announced her debut solo album with the amazing single “Door“. She has now shared a stunning video for “Ocean Of Tears”, another track of the record which was made in collaboration with Danny L Harle, Valley Girl, and A.G. Cook. In the visuals, that she co-directed with Matt Copson, Polachek is a pirate trapped in a storm, in the middle of an ocean of tears. Watch and check her upcoming premiere performances below.

The same night that she premiered her HBO special documentary “Lemonade”, Queen Bee decided to Beyoncé (a new verb meaning “dropping by surprise”) her new album. The LP, which is also named “Lemonade”, is now available via Columbia/Parkwood with a streaming exclusivity on Tidal. It features beautiful people such as Jack White (who is also a co-investor in TIDAL), James Blake, Kendrick Lamar, and The Weeknd.

“Lemonade” is described as a visual album. The hour-long televised docu-style that was aired during a HBO special show featured all the songs with accompanying videos for each of them.

Beyoncé said about the whole project:
[su_quote]It is a conceptual project based on every woman’s journey of self-knowledge and healing.[/su_quote]

The film features appearances from Amandla Stenberg, Quvenzhané Wallis, Zendaya, Trayvon Martin, Tamir Rice and Mike Brown‘s mothers and of course her husband Jay-Z. The tennis champion Serena Williams is also present as she mentioned it yesterday on Twitter.

As a reminder, Beyoncé also dropped by surprise her previous eponymous excellent album in 2013. And, by the way, “Formation“, which was featured in our HighClouds30, is also featured on “Lemonade”!

The video, which was directed by Calmatic, mainly focuses on “Special Affair”, where frontwoman Syd the Kid sings in the middle of smoking party animals. Then, an interlude of “Palace” introduces “Curse”, where Tyler, The Creator raps his part of the track.

[su_dropcap style=”simple”]W[/su_dropcap]e did not have long to wait for Chairlift‘s new single “Romeo” to get a video treatment. Here is the that go-directed clip for the song that is taken from their upcoming album “Moth”, expected to be released on January 22, via Columbia.

As we told you some days ago, the song is about a marathon of love. The video fits with the idea as the singer Caroline Polachek and her fella Patrick Wimberly are having a frenzied race in the streets of a Chinese city, or maybe in Chinatown.

“Romeo” is the follow-up to “Ch-Ching!” which was released as the lead single of the album.
