Baird‘s “The Library of Babel” is out now on Majestic Casual.

We don’t know anything about Baird but we think that the title of his new song, which is apparently a debut, is maybe enough to dig some info. First, the singer-songwriter and producer mentions a library and while going through the 8 minutes of his track, you can indeed hear the multiplication of music influences. Aptly tagged as “collage” on Soundcloud, the track sounds like a grand patchwork. Folk, electronica, techno, minimal, indie pop… It’s a waterfall of snippets which cut and paste altogether shape something celestial.

The reference to “Babel” is also quite indicative. Fans of all these different music genres rarely understand each other but here, like with a universal language, they can find a common ground through the unifying power of the track.

The story doesn’t reveal yet if a superior force is going to punish Baird for this enterprise but meanwhile we can appreciate and try to discover all the facets of the 5 parts of “The Library of Babel”.

Comprising of siblings Yvan and Alben Murenzi, as well as Raphael Starkier, YellowStraps are one of the most exciting acts of the Belgian scene at the moment. Following up on the VYNK-assisted single “Blame,” the new song “Idle Talk” continues the storytelling and explores how far a relationship can go wrong until it breaks down altogether. About the track, YellowStraps stated:

[su_quote]It is the finality of the EP. The finality of the story. The finality of the situation at the end of ‘Blame’ (it’s only, you cut the wires…)[/su_quote]

One of the most promising pop artists oscar oscar shares his forth single “Yuika” inspired by a travel in Japan.

Making music since he is 13, the young artist has shown his unique capacity on reuniting pop ballads with perky electronic sounds. His vocals always capture the listener creating a fragile, sweet atmosphere around him. The track is without a doubt, the medication you needed for your recent heartbreak. About it, oscar oscar stated:

[su_quote]I wrote this song back in 2016 while I was staying in Japan for a few months. My set up was pretty simple, I had the laptop set up on a cardboard box full of my clothes and I just sat on the floor holding the microphone. The song started with just a vocal and then I sort of worked everything around that to make the track[/su_quote]

Collaborative album “Lights” by German producers NOVAA and LO is out today! Listen here to their last single “My Splendor”

Collaborative album “Lights” by German producers NOVAA and LO is out today! Listen here to their last single “My Splendor” featuring R&B sensation Austin Paul.

Released via Majestic Casual, the track follows the electro-pop vibe of their previous singles “Go There” and “For A Ride“. The smooth vocals of NOVAA and their sleek production marry perfectly the creative lyrics: “I’m gonna let my hair grow and wrap it all around your body”. About the inspiration for the track, the duo stated:

[su_quote]”My Splendor” shows the moment when love turns into madness, when you get addicted to someone else and loose control of yourself. It’s about a destructive relationship that survives based on an obsession. Loving and adoring are two different things that are mistaken very often.[/su_quote]

It’s been a while since we haven’t been this excited about the career of a brand new artist. Discovered by the always on point record Majestic Casual, Brisbane-based newcomer oscar oscar shares debut “Hey Ho”.

Swinging in between electronic vibes and downtempo repetitive vocals, the newcomer surprises us with a track that can remind the likes of the beginnings of James Blake. While remaining undoubtedly pop, oscar oscar brings a particular new sound, creating a mysterious atmosphere. As the identity of the artist is been purposely kept away from us, we can’t wait to hear more from him, as he will start to unveil himself.

Kiwi artist Noah Slee unveils ‘Sunrise’ ahead of the release of his debut LP ‘Otherland’ due on August 25 via

Kiwi artist Noah Slee unveils ‘Sunrise’ ahead of the release of his debut LP ‘Otherland’ due on August 25 via Majestic Casual.

New Zealand artist Noah Slee is known for challenging the meaning of soul music. Influenced by Bob Marley, Marvin Gaye, Billie Holiday and Fela Kuti; Slee likes to remind us that Thom Yorke‘s ‘The Eraser’ is actually the track that he considers as formative to the sound he came to compose today. Noah Slee has also a Tongan heritage and lived in Brisbane for a while before relocating to Berlin. More than music, the artist is coming with a piece of life and experience. On his upcoming debut album ‘Otherland’, that he produced with Ben Esser, Slee promises ‘a soulful exploration of freedom and spiritual progression’.

Ahead of this release, here comes the soulful single ‘Sunrise’ which should please all the fans of Anderson .Paak, Jordan Rakei and Thundercat. About this track, the artist detailed:

[su_quote]It’s just one of them days, we all go through them. Reminding myself of how ‘Sunrise’ came together is definitely going back to maybe not the happiest times. Too many long nights, personal struggles and really being tested with life throwing me huge boulders and pushing me to my edge. Seeing the sunrise was definitely a highlight during these times.[/su_quote]

Listen to ‘Sunrise’ below and connect with Noah Slee via Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and SoundCloud.

Amsterdam native now relocated to the UK, SRNO‘s (pronounced “Serrano”) first single “Give It All Up” was premiered via Majestic Casual and since then, his career in music has been quickly going up.

There’s something about SRNO‘s music, perhaps his ability to balance chill with thoughtful, provocative with meditative, that really hits home and resonates with listeners. Check out his rework of “Hotline Bling” for a good example of something with all the above-mentioned elements.

SRNO recently released new single “Stay Sane” and it’s an impressively delicate track that weaves together sounds which will leave listeners in a calm sea of emotions.

“Stay Sane” opens with a series of piano chords, which hit like the gentlest of raindrops breaking the surface of a lake. It isn’t long before Naaz‘s evocative vocals breathe new texture into the song, and light xylophone patterings wind their way around the track like sparks of excitement– not quite declarative, but stimulating nonetheless.

The track ends rather abruptly and that’s probably the only thing that distracts from the rest of “Stay Sane”‘s gorgeous composition. I do wish the ending could have lingered a bit more, but at this point, I’m just nitpicking.
