After releasing her debut EP “Halfway,” rising electro-pop star LAOISE is ready for her return with “Rich” where she explores with honesty the insidious effects of money on a relationship.
Getting a lot of attention thanks to her first EP, the artist has been around some summer festivals and spending time on the studio to craft her sophomore EP expected for this next spring. Going to a more honest and sharped sound, we can feel that she is getting more confident about her sound and songwriting. About the track, she explained to us:
[su_quote]The song is about a love that’s been compromised for possessions. I’ve come across some nasty people who chose money over love and it’s made a negative impact on the people around them. I don’t deal well with someone treating me badly, and I especially don’t deal well with someone treating my loved ones badly, so the song is a screw you to the people who try to.[/su_quote]
