Formed in Italy by Roberta Musillami and Eliseo Di Malto, before finding a creative home in Cardiff, Lunar Bird has been carfting dreamy indie pop since 2017. Their music blends soft synth textures, jangling guitars and introspective lyrics, all wrapped in a gentle haze of psychedelia. After their early EP Daydreamer and 2023 album The Birthday Party, they’re now ready to unveil a new EP later this year.

Taken from the project, their latest single, “The Things We Used To”, reflects on the end of a relationship, but instead of pointing fingers or trying to rewrite the past, it sits in that complicated space between letting go and holding on. There’s a quiet honesty in how it captures the weight of shared memories, acknowledging that some connections don’t simply disappear. Brought to life with contributions from guest musicians Giuseppe Manta and Andrea Rizzo, the song feels warm and textured, carried by gentle instrumentation and a sense of quiet acceptance.
