We’re always digging for that little rush you get when you stumble upon an artist before the rest of the internet catches up. Babe Dylan are giving us exactly that feeling right now. The duo remain pretty elusive, with barely any information floating around online, but the songs are already doing plenty of talking. It actually reminds us of hearing Magdalena Bay for the first time around 2017 or 2018, when it felt like we had accidentally opened the door to a very promising little universe. Babe Dylan first made some noise at the end of 2025 with their viral debut “Vape Luv”, and they have kept the earworms coming since, from the throbbing electro pop of “Your Turn” to the more indie rock inclined “Ben and I”, both featured in our Best Songs of 2026 playlist. And yes, we investigated a little: According to the Spotify credits, Babe Dylan comprises Bella Marguerite and Esther Violet Mcgrade, with Erik x Brauer involved in composition and production. Their latest single “Hideout” makes an even stronger case for keeping them on your radar. Built around glossy, synth heavy production, the track pairs its sweetness with lyrics about retreating from a relationship that has clearly run its course. “What’s built to break will never last,” they sing, before escaping back toward an older version of themselves and the strangely comforting image at the center of the massive chorus: “Hideout in the bathtub.” The song also arrives with a video directed and filmed by Pilot Lee.
