Fine Glindvad Jensen has been floating around Copenhagen’s increasingly interconnected music scene for quite a while. Before stepping out in solo as Fine, she spent close to a decade fronting electronic pop trio CHINAH, co wrote songs for NewJeans alongside Erika de Casier and later teamed up with Astrid Sonne for their project Coined. Her excellent 2024 solo debut Rocky Top Ballads brought all of those different threads somewhere much more intimate, mixing country and folk memories with samples, guitars and softly warped electronics. There is also the increasingly hard to ignore The Crying Nudes connection. Fine is widely believed to be the voice behind the mysterious World Music project, with Dean Blunt also thought to be involved, something that feels even less theoretical now that the World Music Instagram account has shared her new album announcement.
And that album is called Jazz Dreams. This is Fine’s sophomore record and it is due October 22 via Escho. It follows a particularly lovely run of singles from 2025, including “I Could”, “Run”, “Portal” and “Moment”. The announcement arrives with “Everything in the shade”, another dreamy preview that keeps her soft, languid songwriting drifting over piano, guitars and subtle details that blur around the edges.
