“Pharmacist” is taken from Alvvays‘ upcoming album, Blue Rev, out October 7.
A few weeks ago, Alvvays posted a few teasers on their socials, announced a tour, and hinted at releasing new music, five years -an eternity- after the excellent Antisocialites. Today, the Toronto band, headed by Molly Rankin, are finally detailing their new project, “the nervy joyride that is the compulsively lovable Blue Rev.” Described as their most harmonically rich and lyrically provocative project, the 14-track record is introduced by “Pharmacist,” a track with muscular and scouring guitars and a melody as irresistible as ever.
