Well, we do since her debut track “Emptiness” is one of the best Belgian tracks released lately and we truly believe that she is the one to watch. After featuring a track of French producer M-O-R-S-E, she is ready to announce the release of her debut EP out sooner than you think. Listen here to the first track “curtains”.
In a place between Björk, FKA twigs, Banks and James Blake, Christine Denamur is clearly doing a great job to hypnotize the listeners thanks to her mesmerizing voice helped by the production of M-O-R-S-E. Their collaboration started as simple as simple as the producer, just like us, falling in love with “Emptiness”, congratulating her for her first track and offering her to collaborate.
The result of this exchange is “r e d w a t e r”, a track by M-O-R-S-E that she wrote and co-produced. When it comes to “curtains”, the first collaboration was so rich that they decided to continue to work together. About their collaboration and their new song she told us :
“Curtains” is the second song M-O-R-S-E and I worked on after Redwater. He sent me some sounds and I tried to put some vocals on it… This song was all done within two weeks. His sounds are so well produced that it quickly stimulates my imagination. He’s very openminded, creative and don’t want to impose his music, he’s also interested about the songs and sounds I make, which is great.”
About her debut EP, it is actually going to be a collaboration between her and her new friend, that will for sure contain “Curtains” and also “songs with Morse’s voice and maybe a duo too, who knows!”. For now, you can check their first collaboration “r e d w a t e r” below and M-O-R-S-E‘s site
