“Bonnie” is taken from Dilettante‘s self-titled debut album, out in May 2022.
Formerly band leaders of Toronto’s For Jane, Natalie Panacci and Julia Wittmann are back with a new quintet, Dilettante (meaning “amateurs of the arts” if you also like to play scrabble). Although their self-titled debut effort is dubbed as an “amateur” project, the first single, “Bonnie,” is a real tour de force. “You’re a dreamboat into my heart,” they sing in double harmony over glimmering synths and a timeless groove. A dancey ballad about a devouring love story, this is a massive introduction card.
Arnaud, a passionate music enthusiast from France, now based in Madrid, founded HighClouds in 2015. With an ear for the dreamy, the ethereal, and the unconventional, he thrives on discovering and sharing boundary-pushing sounds.
