Stockholm based singer, songwriter, and producer Suzy Ekman Ronander started working on her DJ Suzy project around 2019 before releasing her first music in 2023. She produces much of her own material, and her close friends are also an important part of the process, both as collaborators and as some of her main songwriting inspirations. In 2024, she released the mixtape Haunted Disc, a project full of diary like writing, romantic confusion and digital references, with songs that moved between R&B, electronic pop and more surreal touches.
Now, DJ Suzy has announced her debut album, Kira Krash, out October 23, 2026. The title takes its name from the imprint through which she has released her music from the beginning. We already heard “why did i say i loved you?” earlier this year, followed by “speedboat”, which came with a music video and quickly became one of our favourites, earning a spot in our Best Songs of 2026 playlist. Now, alongside the announcement, she has also shared a new track, “sw33t”, which keeps the glossy, slightly nostalgic, and “digital girl” aesthetic we’re so fond of. Listen to all of the songs below.
