New single “The Wire” by singer, producer and multi-instrumentalist Francis Novotny is a reflection of his path into pop stardom.
Released via Black Butter Records, the track is his way of telling his special someone that he is done with waiting for answers. As he sings “why you keep me hanging on the wire?”, he demands to his lover to give him what he wants. Sonically, “The Wire” is more atmospheric than his previous productions, taking a step into something more soulful. About the meaning behind the lyrics, Francis Novotny stated:
When a person leaves you hanging on without answers – and you know you should get out of it – but you keep winding back towards them.
