Good Morning TV share visuals for shoegaze ritournelle “Insomniac”

“Insomniac” is lifted from Good Morning TV‘s debut album, Small Talk, out early 2021 on Géographie.

Hailing from France, Good Morning TV are the latest signees of Géographie, the Paris-based label that introduced us to Marble Arch. Four years after their self-titled EP, the band will unveil their debut album in a few months and you can already discover the very promising first single, “Insomniac”.

“‘Insomniac’ represents what we like in and what we hope for our music,” they explained. “An unexpected accident that turned out to be a sweet imperfect and fragile reflection of our time together.” The languid, piano-led shoegaze ritournelle, which should please the fans of Melody’s Echo Chamber, also comes with a stunning video, courtesy of director Antoine Magnien. Inspired Martin Creed‘s “work n°2811”, the clip encapsulates the song’s dichotomy throughout a pretty smart game of mirror reflections. Watch below and support the band via Bandcamp.
