London-born singer/songwriter Izzy Flynn has shared the video for “Faith” as the lead single to her EP out last week. The EP is ethereal, dark, and haunting, and the first unveiled track captures these three feels.
Inspired by the likes of Lauryn Hill, James Blake, Keith Jarrett, Chopin and Joni Mitchell, Izzy is also well grounded in music education, gaining a first class degree in Jazz piano and an award in Composition from Leeds College of Music.
Izzy Flynn is heavily involved in her music writing the music and the lyrics, as well as performing all the keyboard, synth, lead vocal, and backup vocals. This ensures her artistic styling is ever-present in her music. “Faith” was produced by one-half of the Majik, and the EP also features Dom from Submotion Orchestra’s touch.
Izzy Flynn has performed around the world with the Abstract Orchestra, as well as supporting other artists such as Mos Def, Afrika Bambaataa and De La Soul.
