Jennifer Vanilla addresses evil masculinity in “Humility’s Disease”

“Humility’s Disease” is taken from Jennifer Vanilla‘s new album, Castle In The Sky, out August 5 via Sinderlyn.

A former member of Brooklyn pop band Ava Luna, Becca Kauffman has been putting out music as Jennifer Vanilla for a few years already, but it’s only in August that the avant-pop musician and performer will unveil their debut album Castle In The Sky. Before revealing this project (a concoction of 90s dance music, post-punk, art pop, new age and experimental R&B), they’re now unveiling a new single, “Humility’s Disease.” The frantic new offering comes with a Luca Venter-directed video, in which an ironically masculine devil-like figure is surrounded by two angels.
