“Welcome To Paradise” is taken from Kate Birch‘s upcoming third album, Closure, out mid-2024 via Red Brick Records.
Two years after The Fool, Swiss avant-pop artist Kate Birch returns with a new album, Closure. The yet to be detailed project is introduced by “Welcome To Paradise,” an ethereal single showcasing pastel synths, a violin skillfully mimicking the melodies of real birdsong, and otherworldly vocals. “My senses were wide-open; I felt so connected to nature, as if I’d taken a hit of LSD, but I was completely sober,” explains Birch. “Yet I felt connected to everything: ants, birch trees—all this life around me. The gap between us gone.”
Arnaud, a passionate music enthusiast from France, now based in Madrid, founded HighClouds in 2015. With an ear for the dreamy, the ethereal, and the unconventional, he thrives on discovering and sharing boundary-pushing sounds.
