Kylypso – Mean 2 You

One of the various purposes of this blog is to get to receive submissions from artists that are just starting their career. That’s the case for East-London based duo who released their debut track a few days ago where they mix indie coolness with pop catchiness. An absolute banger that will for sure start an amazing career for them.

They define themselves as “float, alternative electronic” since “Mean 2 You” is a melting pot of the best of what we’ve listening these last years on the indietronic genre with a touch of pop that the duo is still not aware of. They have clear inspirations in somewhere between Caribou, Tame Impala and Sufjan Stevens.

When asked about this track, they told us over email :

The track was written by both of us at the back end of last year. It all started with just a drum machine and the harmony’s, slowly as we built that up the rest kind of slotted in to place.

Let’s hope this is the beginning of an amazing career but if we were you, we’ll bet on them.
