After the release of her single “Afterhours” in 2016, London based artist Little Boots is back with “Shadows”, the first single of her upcoming EP, set to be released later this year.
The EP was inspired by her recent break-up with a longtime lover, and evolves around her getting rid of that negativity over the dancefloor. There are many “crying on the dancefloors” anthems and “Shadows” is definitely one of them. Little Boots teamed up in this new single with Brazilian DJ Joyce Muniz, to create something that we can’t wait to dance to. About what inspired the EP, she explained:
I was in a relationship for a long time, and I really just thought that was it. And even though there was a lot of pain when it ended, [which] found its way onto this EP, it’s also awe-inspiring that you can go through that much emotion.
Little Boots’ “Shadows” is out now.
