London TUSKS announces debut LP and shares title track ‘Dissolve’

Hailing from London, One Little Indian‘s latest signing TUSKS just announced her debut LP ‘Dissolve’. Listen to the title track and first single taken from this project.

TUSKS is the music project of Emily Underhill, an experimental pop singer songwriter, visual artist and producer who just got signed on famous imprint One Little Indian. Following up to the single ‘Toronto,’ here’s the artist’s new single ‘Dissolve’ which also announces the release of her debut album.

‘Dissolve’ is a cinematic and beautiful dream pop track that is in line with her previous releases. TUSKS‘ productions are always loaded with an immersive and quiet force. Indeed, the artist manages to deliver songs that are both atmospheric and powerful, in between a post-the xx universe and the distant beauty of Beach House. In little words, captivating songs for ghosts.

About ‘Dissolve’, TUSKS confessed:

I’m a very visual person, I love being outdoors and surrounded by nature. I grew up by the sea and I’ve always tried to spend as much time outside and travel as much as possible – I think perhaps subconsciously that all influences how cinematic some of my music can be and why I love creating the artwork to go with it.

Before adding:

I can have something going in in my life and listen to a song and totally relate that song to me – it’s like that artist is sharing that experience with me and creating a soundtrack to my life. I take a lot of inspiration from more cinematic music in the creation and production of my music and maybe that’s why that idea sits with me more – it creates a closer connection between the listener and the record.
