“Two Face” is taken from L’Rain‘s new album, Fatigue, out June 25 on Mexican Summer.
Brooklyn-born and based experimentalist and multi-instrumentalist Taja Cheek aka L’Rain has announced her signing to Mexican Summer, the label on which she will release her brand new album Fatigue. The follow-up to her 2017 self-titled debut record will once again showcase lush and psychedelic patchworks of textures, veering from post-punk and free jazz to R&B and beyond.
These ambitious collages are at the heart of the kaleidoscopic first single, “Two Face,” which is disorienting in the best way possible.Driven by two voices, the intricate single undulates in between lightness and darkness and comes with a video featuring volumetric video technology and real time rendering by Reese Donohue of Tempo Studio.
