As pop lovers, it is hard to completely ignore the J-pop market since Japan is the center of one of the most inventive musical industries. The mysterious band (we are actually not even sure that it is a band) The Hotpantz shared second single “Nowhereland”
The music is intense and extremely catchy, mixing italo-disco with straight up J-pop. It can remind the works of Carly Rae Jepsen, since it sounds as a fresh air of pop happiness and the Canadian sweetheart never denied the connection between her music and Japanese inspirations. The video is a conjoint work by design geeks that are not only located in Japan and it simply adds more fun to the music, creating an animated fantasy.
And apparently it works since the band is one of the most played new artists on Spotify Japan. You can follow The Hotpantz over Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Spotify.
