Ocean Hope is the musical world of Angeliki and Serafim Tsotsonis, a brother and sister duo from Greece who craft their songs between two very different settings: a quiet seaside home in Nerantza and a studio in Athens. This contrast seeps into their sound, which they describe as nu chamber pop, blending delicate, ethereal vocals with expressive guitars and warm analogue synths. Since releasing their debut EP Chamber Dreams in 2015 and their first album “Rolling Days” in 2018, they’ve been shaping a soft, dreamlike universe that feels both intimate and expansive.
Their new song “Τώρα Δε Με Νοιάζει” comes from a deeply personal place and also carries an intriguing dichotomy. According to the duo, it carries the weight of 13 years marked by oppression, mistreatment, and ridicule, yet it doesn’t stay in darkness. Instead, it opens up toward something lighter, driven by a propulsive beat. As they share, “If even one person can relate to it, that alone will mean everything to us. In the end, self-love is where it all begins. It’s the starting point for learning to embrace everything.”
“Τώρα Δε Με Νοιάζει” feels like a release as much as a reflection. There’s pain woven into it, but also a gentle sense of healing, as if the song itself is reaching for something brighter. The duo hopes it creates a physical, almost tangible feeling, “a beam of light moving through your guts and out of you,” and listening to it, that’s not far off. It’s a soft yet powerful reminder that even in the heaviest moments, there’s always space for light to break through.
