Musically in a place in the middle of Blood Orange and Prince, PHNK uses anime-inspired visuals to create a contrast in between the playfulness of the video and the melancholy hidden in his music.
The Seattle-based artist, whose name is pronounced “FUNK,” set his creativity in his clip where the audio and visuals elements are prominent and shouldn’t be taken separately. About the video, he explains:
