If you’re a loyal reader of HighClouds, you undoubtedly know Tallisker. Today, the artist shares with us a remix of “Salanfe,” the lead single taken from her latest EP “Heliotrop.” This new version is signed by French producer 18h15, who smartly handles the sounds of the land of fire and ice: Iceland.
Tallisker and 18h15 met through Soundcloud last year. Their chat about electronic music and Icelandic aesthetics eventually turned into a collaboration. We were already fans of the original version of “Salanfe” and this new minimalistic flip emphasizes even more the cold beauty of the track.
18h15‘s remix of Tallisker‘s ‘Salanfe’ is exactly what we were expecting from Iceland: cracking sounds, crystalline vibes, strings and echoes.
When asked about her project, La Rochelle-based artist Cécile Nicolas details:
18h15 is about never finding yourself, but looking for it. It’s an icelandic dream, a lonely cigarette or an abandonned doll. Your choice. 18h15 is every note, every sound, every imperfection your hear. No more, no less.
Tallisker “Salanfe (18h15 remix)” is available on Spotify and is featured on DAILY DOSE FOR MUSIC JUNKIES.
