Revenge Wife speaks all the languages of Love in “Boyfriend”

Revenge Wife‘s new bop “Boyfriend” is out now.

Revealed as the singer and writer of Holychild, Elizabeth Nistico underwent an incredible artistic transformation with her solo quirky project Revenge Wife. If her early hits, like the lo-fi computer pop debut “Earthquake” or the Italo disco extravaganza “Fantasy Girl,” were breakup songs, her irresistible new offering, “Boyfriend,” unapologetically celebrates love.

“I wish I could say that it’s sarcastic or that I was keeping my cool when I wrote it, but the truth is I’m a romantic at heart,” she explains. “I love love! There are so many emotions tangled up in longing, and I think the lyrics reflect that in this song.” Guided by hypnotic synths and an addictive melodic structure, the track also features Nistico singing in French and Italian, both of which claim to be the languages of love.
