With her immersive soundscapes and spellbinding vocals, Berlin-born musician and producer Rosa Anschütz has become a distinctive voice in the electronic underground. Her 2020 album Votive was one of our favorites of that year, and the artist has released two other full-length projects since then.
Now, Anschütz is back with “Chase Pioneers”, the first single from her upcoming fourth album Sabbatical. The track is a slow-burning meditation, pairing haunting instrumentation with her signature ethereal vocal delivery. The accompanying self-made video is equally hypnotic.
Sabbatical will be Rosa Anschütz’s first release with Heartworm Press and marks her international debut beyond Germany. It’s a project ten years in the making that strips away the excess to reveal something raw, cinematic, and equally personal and prophetic.
To celebrate the release, Rosa will play a special show at Rough Trade Berlin on September 26.
