SAÍGO – So Natural

After being played for the first time on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 radio show, L.A. singer/producer SAÍGO is ready to share his debut track “So Natural”. You can take the sounds of Jamie XX and James Blake having babies with the best jazz sounds of the 60’s and you get SAÍGO, who uses this track as an appetizer for the release of his upcoming debut EP that should be out in October.

“So Natural”, co-produced alongside Jonah Christian, is the perfect example of what we are witnessing these latest years: all the genres are mixing creating many exciting sub-genres. Taking root in jazz, SAÍGO creates his own way into music, perfecting his unique way of perceiving different sounds.

About “So Natural”, he told us over email:

I wrote “So Natural” about the competition of natural instincts. I imagine the song a tug of war of internal emotions, eventually evolving into rapid kinetic action, breaking through the gridlock”. The song itself is about knee-jerk, involuntary reactions that you end up regretting. It’s about our self-defense mechanisms – their dark histories, their deep foundations, and then trying to overcome them. It started with just a bass line and a melody, and then became kind of a three-part mini-series that follows a sequence of regret, reconciliation, and deconstruction.

We are truly excited about the release of his EP and you can follow him here on Facebook, Twitter and Soundcloud to be aware of all of his news.
