Scintii joins Houndstooth with Danny L Harle-assisted cut “Times New Roman”

Scintii‘s new EP, “Times New Roman,” is out October 2 on Houndstooth.

Too ethereal for the clubs, too cyber for meditation, Shanghai-based, Taiwanese singer and vocalist Scintii has just returned with a trippy new single, “Times New Roman”. The Danny L Harle-assisted track also marks her debut on Houndstooth, two years after her Aerial / Paperbags EP from 2018. “Times New Roman is one of the main languages used in graphic design,” Scintii explained. “And this song is about finding that language for myself as an artist.”

“The main melody came to me while wandering round a shopping mall,” she added. “But I wasn’t sure what to do with it. Then I had the session with Danny and it just worked with the beat he was making. It really started to become about me feeling sure of myself as a musician and producer, going in a new direction and really being able to maximise my own voice.”

“Times New Roman” also comes with a Kynan Puru Watt-directed video and a series of remixes to be unveiled very soon from the likes of Loraine James, Osheyack, Mechatok, and Palmistry.
