Forget about Swedish pop…The Danish scene is currently the place to be when it comes to alternative and avant-pop. Over the past few years, Copenhagen has introduced us to amazing artists such as ML Buch, 100%WET, Ydegirl, Erika de Casier, Astrid Sonne, Molina, Fine, and more. At the heart of this vibrant scene, one label stands out: Escho. Today, the imprint is introducing us to another great act: Snuggle.
Snuggle is composed of Andrea Thuesen and Vilhelm Strange. Their sinuous and sophisticated new song “Marigold,” is out today, and they aptly describe it as “a memory that lingers just out of focus.” Carried by a guitar riff and a cello, courtesy of Naja Soulié, the track is reminiscent of Fine’s “Coasting,” one of of favorite songs of 2024.
