“Longing” is taken from Softmax‘s new EP, Any Minute Now, out December 1.
Chicago-based leftfield pop producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Softmax recently announced the release of Any Minute Now. Like her previous project, the EP adopts a dystopian tones, as it delves into the theme of anticipation, navigating through its apprehensive and tense manifestations to its more serene and liberating forms. Co-produced with Samuel Organ, Joel Ford, and Gabriel Gifford, Any Minute Now also confronts the shallow and isolating facets of contemporary communication and the challenges of adapting to a rapidly evolving technological environment. To complement the announcement, Softmax treated fans to the mesmerizing and otherworldly track “Longing,” that you can listen below.
