SWIMM recently released a new single titled “Man’s Man”. The duo – formed by Chris Hess and Adam Winn – recently joined Hit Music and released the video for it, that captures the duo’s thoughts toward hyper masculinity. The song was produced by Alex Fitts of The Kickdrums.
In an interview, the duo stated that the song talks about “a few social behaviors” and “the over objectification and hyper-sexualization of women on social media.”
A quick listen to the song will show the duo moving away from the sound and style of their last EP titled “Beverley Hells”. “Man’s Man” features a quirky, staccato groove, spacey synths, pointed guitar leads laced with a catchy hook.
SWIMM also shared the B-side of “Man’s Man” called “Groupie” that deals with a chance to meet with Nic Cage.
