UV‘s debut EP Defender is out July 19.
Previously fronting ethereal-psych band KULL and electronic duo White Russia, Marina Elderton is now going solo under the moniker UV. Following up on “Defender” and “Joys Of Pain,” Elderton has now shared a new track, “Wilt,” and detailed the release of her debut EP. Co-produced once again by Knut Jonas Sellevold, “Wilt” sounds almost like a mystical experience with its combination of haunting vocals and ambient-inspired textures. Intricate and emotional, it’s another strong offering from the London-based artist.
Supported by the PRS Women Make Music Foundation, UV‘s debut EP Defender also comes with an artwork designed in collaboration with embroidery artist Scott Ramsay Kyle.
