Following up on the release of her debut album “Take Me Apart”, Kelela is back with stunning video for “Blue Light”.
Back in October, Kelela released “Take Me Apart“, one of the best albums of 2017, via WARP. We already received an amazing 90s-inspired video for “LMK” which was directed by Andrew Thomas Huang. Today the American singer and songwriter is sexier and stranger for those new visuals.
In “Blue Light’, which is signed by Helmi (Tiga, Kali Uchis, Roots Manuva), Kelela is making love with her hair that are growing and wrap themselves around her whole body. It is a way to remind us that she is a queer black woman as she detailed it in an interview to The Quietus and, of course, her dreads are a part of her identity.
