Yaeji shares new track “Last Breath” alongside a make-up tutorial

It is not a big surprise that we are fans of every song that artist Yaeji releases. Mixing pop culture references, with electronic music and a touch of pop is really our jam. In her last single, “Last Breath”, she uses what we love most: deep house and make-up tutorial.

In the track, where she uses a sample of the vocals by Moloko taken from “The Time Is Now,” you can see her apply her make-up like many of the tutorials that you can find over the Internet. The twist is that she is not actually applying foundation or contouring. Thanks to a translation from Japanese included in the bottom of the video, we can see that she is actually applying emotions as make-up like “Hope,” “Ego” or “Depression”. And that’s why we love her: putting real emotions into cold-hearted electronic sounds.

You can follow Yaeji over Facebook, Twitter, Soundcloud and listen to the audio below.
