Last august, I introduced you to a French artist called Bizar. He caught our attention with his two singles “Daylight” and “Something Real”, so we named him “Newcomer of the Week” back then. We knew that he had an EP on the way … So here it is! “Greatest Hit I” is finally here, including 3 news songs “Les Foules”, “Burning Man” and “R.O.W” but also his two previous releases.
British artist Wolfie is sharing nothing but good tracks keeping us excited about her soon-to-be-released EP…. OH guess what? She just announced that her debut EP due to be released on May 6th. It will contain the first single “Seeds” released last year, the Stars Wars inspired “Obi Wan“, the dreamy “Outta Earth“. Wolfie has now unveiled a four track taken from that EP, listen here to “100.”
French girls do it better! Bordeaux-based producer Nídia Minaj is a 19-year-old talent whose stage name is obviously inspired by
Hjalt Ross‘ musical project Eli is not really a solo escapade as it also features some members of the music collective LYDTAET, who are by the way his best friends. You might have guessed with their name, but this psyche dream-pop act comes from Denmark and is active since 2014. The title of the track “Okay” is an illusion and you won’t need to ferret out for a long time. The song is, as the artist describes it himself: “a real teen-depressive breakup song”.
One of the busiest Swedes of the moment must be Malmö’s Erik Lindestad and his dream pop project The Land Below. After releasing the last weeks some impressive synth covers of the most iconic pop songs of the 90s, as there are “Hand in My Pocket” by Miss Morissette and “Save Tonight” by Mr. Cherry, we welcome today the 2nd track “And On” from his upcoming “It’s all figured out” EP.
I probably have listened to Braids‘ latest album a hundred times. It was honestly one of the best albums of 2015. The trio decided to unveil a new EP called “Companion” made of 4 songs that were composed during their writing of “Deep In The Iris” but were left unfinished. The EP is due to be released on May 20th, but get a foretaste with the spacious video of “Companion”, the title track of the EP.
Kweku Collins is a rising artist, a star who is about to shine beyond Evanston, the suburbs of Chicago where he has grown. This 19-year old rapper, producer, and songwriter has always been creating music as he comes from a musical family. On his debut LP “Nat Love”, that was released earlier this month via Closed Sessions, he shows that hip-hop is not only about gangsters and strip-clubs. The album is particularly intimate as he produced all the songs but one himself, in his room. Our favorite one, “Stupid Rose”, is a low-key smooth banger about the souvenir of a bad bitch he used to love; a one-way love affair.
